ZTE Windows Phone, Sony C6603 Yuga Leak as New Phablets

GLOBAL – A new ZTE device powered by Windows Phone, and the Sony C6603 Yuga might be on their way to hit the markets soon as phablets.

ZTE Marketing Chief Lu Qian Hao posted a picture of a new Windows Phone device on Weibo, together with some specs. The phone has a 5.9-inch full HD display and DTS sound technology. As seen in the picture, the phablet has the Windows Phone 7 logo on it, perhaps because Windows Phone 8 is yet to support full HD.

On the other side, seven pictures of the Sony C6603, codename Yuga, have leaked on internet. The site where the pictures first surfaced claims that the phone will have a unibody case with a glass back similar to the iPhone 4/4S. The handset may also have a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 5-inch 1080p display. It is said to sport a 12 MP camera for now, but may get an upgrade before the release. The leaked pictures show the device running on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with kernel version 3.4.0.
