TAIPEI, Taiwan – Details of the new HTC Accord, one of the three HTC’s Windows Phone 8 devices to be released this year, leaked via Twitter.
Exposed by an XDA-Developers member named Football, the documents are believed to be from a quick guide manual. The leak has captured significant public attention, since Football‘s former reveals have been correct.
Probably destined to be called HTC X8 or Windows Phone X8 officially, the Accord should adopt a wide range of colors as the released image render depicts a purple-colored device running Windows Phone 8. It also shows several other details, such as the handset’s docking port and volume buttons.
Similar to a variant of the Galaxy S III, the HTC Accord will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core MSM8960 chip. It features a 4.3″ 720p Super LCD 2 display for better visibility and an 8 MP camera with 1080p full HD video capture, and it’s also known to have microSD support and NFC. A front-facing camera and a notification LED will also be available, the latter probably included in favor of BlackBerry users.
The HTC Accord is known to possess a design, with a dedicated camera button in addition to the regular back, start and search buttons.
