TAOYUAN, Taiwan - HTC will be one of those few makers to roll out the Windows Phone 7 smartphones, and this handset will be named the HTC Eternity.
The handset is expected this fall to make its presence felt, and like the present premium HTC devices, this one will be a mammoth as far as screen size is concerned, the HTC Eternity will house a giant 4.7" AMOLED display.
Rumours are also rife about the HTC Eternity sporting an 8-megapixel camera but with the giant screen size, we cannot rule out the handset sporting the much speculated 12-megapixel sensor, that will capture video at 720p HD resolution.
The handset will also support full HD 1080p output, it will be powered under-the-hood by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor, 16GB on-board storage, 1.3- megapixel camera in the front for video calling, 512MB of RAM, and it will bring a 1650mAh battery for all the juice this monster will require. The form factor according to leaked pics show a very similar form-factor to the HTC EVO 4G, Inspire 4G, HTC HD7, so this is becoming quite monotonous.
There is no official date on the launch of the HTC Eternity, but with the handset sporting Windows Phone 7, it could just be around the corner.
