Bemilo Vodafone SIM card parental controlLONDON, United Kingdom – A newly developed SIM card is able to minimize bullying and sexting agaisnt children, and to give the full control over the mobile phone used by a child to its parents.

Mobile technology places powerful challenges for children protection from dangers ranging from incorrect use to threats, such as sexting and bullying, as mentioned above.

The project is a joint venture of Bemilo and Vodafone and will be available on the UK network of the operator.

The SIM card pack offers an usual SIM card, which, however, is connected with an internet service accessible to the parents of the child. This service allows a number of actions and monitoring options to the parents, that are otherwise unavailable in standard SIM operation.

Most importantly, the new SIM offers capability to monitor communications, messaging and browsing done on the device and to block sites, numbers and contacts from reaching the child. This is considered a major improvement of child security by UK’s Family and Parenting Institute, as sexting and mobile bullying are getting more and more popular way of child abuse.
