Verizon Motorola Droid X hands-on reviewWESTON, USA – The Droid line of devices has been a success for North American carrier Verizon. The extensive marketing campaigns promoting the brand have really had an impact on the consumers, making term “Droid” is now synonymous with powerful smartphones. The Droid line-up covers almost all of the high-end market.

There is the physical QWERTY smartphone, the Droid 2; and, the touchscreen-only Droid Incredible. Then comes the Motorola Droid X. An abnormally-sized smartphone with really impressive specifications. We don’t feel like the Droid X is at the top of the line in the Droid line-up, there is just one Droid for everyone.

The Droid X is, in essence, a small tablet. It slightly crosses that threshold dividing smartphones, from – something else. It is hard to describe: the Droid X is “not” a smartphone, but not a tablet either. The 4.3″ screen is what sets the Droid X apart from other smartphones; the screen is big, too big in some cases.
