Themes Section at BlackBerry App World Now Open to Public
WATERLOO, Canada – Research in Motion (RIM) has announced that the Theme page at the BlackBerry App World, as reported last week, is now up and running.
There is a wide selection, ranging from tranquil garden and orchids, to very specific sports-related sites, and some very well crafted animated versions to spice up and personalize users’ Blackberry devices. Pricing for themes start at free, and go up to US$6.99 each.
RIM also stated that over 110,000 downloads of the Blackberry Theme Studio 5.0 have been made in less than one month, since its launch at the Developer’s Conference in November. This bodes well for users looking for more interesting BlackBerry themes or specialized versions. Developers are hard at work learning the software and creating themes. We should see many more coming shortly.
The developers kit is available for free at the BlackBerry website.
