BARCELONA, Spain – LG has introduced a new phablet – the Optimus Vu with LTE technology, set to launch in March.
The LG Optimus Vu packs a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and operates on Android Gingerbread 2.3, while an update on Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 is still in progress. Owing to its large 5-inch IPS touchscreen display, the phone is called a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet.
This 8.5mm thin and 90.4mm long device features an 8 MP rear-camera and 1.3 MP front-camera. The phone comes with a 32GB capacity of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM.
The phablet runs on 2080 mAh battery and also supports High-Definition Multimedia Interface through HDMI-out port. It also features a Rubberdium’s Stylus Pen.
The LG Optimus Vu is set to be released in Korea next month.
