Sony Ericsson Xperia Arco Revealed, Destined For Japan
TOKYO, Japan – The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arco is destined for the manufacturer’s homemarket, Japan.
To be sold on the NTT DoCoMo network, the smartphone carries forward more than a few design cues from the Xperia Arc. In fact, the Arco is the Xperia Arc with a few feature additions for the Japanese market.
The OS behind the Arco is Android 2.3 Gingerbread and powering it is a 1GHz 2nd generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The integrated RAM stands at 512MB while there is also 1GB of ROM included. Users get a 4.2″ WVGA resolution screen.
The Arco loses the gentle curve in the back of the device due to feature additions like one-seg TV, SP-Mode, Infrared port, amongst others. It will be available shortly on Japan’s NTT Docomo network . Pricing details are not known as of now.
