TOKYO, Japan – Sony is prepping new lens and display technologies for mobile devices, based on its Bravia and Cybershot departments.

The manufacturer is bringing technology used in its Bravia televisions to its Android smartphone, such as the Triluminos display technology, which gives users access to a wide palette of rich natural colors, as well as X-Reality, which analyzes images and reproduces lacking pixels in videos. Sony says that users will obtain the richest experiences and enjoy uncompromised quality.

Sony is also readying Bluetooth camera lens accessories that will be compatible with Apple’s iOS devices and handsets running Google’s Android operating system, a leaked product manual confirms.

The two models for the camera lens attachment Рhigh-end DSC-QX100 and the basic DSC-QX10 Р feature standard camera controls, including shutter buttons and zoom controls, allowing the user to take photos without needing to connect to a smartphone.

Rather than being mounted to the iPhone’s camera, the Sony accessories will instead connect wirelessly to an iOS device, allowing the Apple camera to serve as the viewfinder for Sony’s higher-quality lens. Sony is expected to make an official announcement on the two new lenses on September 4.
