Sony Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet Incoming

Sir Howard Stringer Sony ChairmanMINATO, JapanHoward Stringer, CEO and Chairman of Sony, has hinted that the company plans to unveil a tablet computer powered by Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

The long rumored device is said to have a unique wrap like format. The screen is expected to be 9.4″ in size. The Tegra powered tablet computer is said to be called the ‘S1’.

A second tablet is also rumored to be under development which packs a very unique clam shell design. According to Stringer , the tablet is being targeted to the North American market first before theĀ JapaneseĀ home ground. He claims that the tablet will be available before the end of the year.

Not much more is known about the specifications of the Android device. We’ll be sure to update the article as soon as we receive more information about the fabled tablet computer.
