SEOUL, South Korea – Samsung has now officially released a firmware update with Android 4.0.4 ICS for the Galaxy S II in Russia. Other nations should be getting the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version within couple of months.
The new update will bring certain improved features to the phone. The upgrade is designed to enhance the stability of the phone. In addition, performance of the camera will be improved fairly. Furthermore, the ability of the S II to recognize phone numbers will also get better. Apart from this, the update will also bring a smoother screen rotation to the device.
It is said that the Samsung Galaxy Note will also be getting the newer version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Android 4.0.4 can be downloaded from SamFirmware. Additionally, users may need most recent Kies version or they can also update the phone OTA (over the air).
