Samsung Plotting 11.8-inch Tablet with a 2560×1600 Display

SAN JOSE, USA – In the documentation presented for the forthcoming stage of the legal battle over patent rights between Apple and Samsung there are several interesting leaks about the future plans of Samsung. One of the most interesting is about a device planned for 2012, which will be a rather large tablet with a display of 11.8-inch, featuring an impressive Retina-like resolution of 2560×1600, or a pixel density of 256ppi.

It is no wonder that after the release of the New iPad with its impressive Retina display, Samsung, which is the biggest vendor of LCD and AMOLED displays in the world, is up to the challenge to surpass the capabilities of the New iPad.

The documents presented in the court do not reveal when the probable Galaxy Tab 11.8 is to be expected, but they do point out that it is this year that Samsung was planing to release it. There will be an event taking place in the middle of August in New York City, which is supposed to be for the revised Galaxy Note 10.1, but now it won’t be a surprise if the Galaxy Tab/Note 11.8 is also introduced there.
