Samsung Galaxy Tab S Priced for India

NEW DELHI, India – Korean tech giant Samsung has recently unveiled two tablets, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab 10.5, for a price of Rs 37800 and Rs 44800, respectively.

Both tablets were announced by Samsung last month and come with Super AMOLED displays and WQXGA resolution, octa-core Exynos processors and the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. The devices have many more features, such as a fingerprint scanner, Kids Mode with its own dedicated interface, call forwarding via SideSync 3.0, an Ultra-Power Saving Mode, voice calling capabilities and 3G connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 hosts a 8.4inch Super AMOLED display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution, a octa-core Exynos with quad A15 1.9GHz and a quad A7 1.3GHz processor. The device runs the latest available Android 4.4 KitKat on-board. At its back lies a 8MP primary camera with LED flash while the front hosts a 2.1MP secondary camera. The device comes with several connectivity options like Wi-Fi with MIMO, Wi-Fi Direct, IR LED, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, GLONASS and GPS. The memory options include 3GB of RAM, two storage options of 16/32GB internal memory and 128GB expandable memory via microSD card slots. The battery capacity for the device is 4900mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab s 10.5 has similar specifications, except for the battery capacity, as it has a larger 7900mAh unit.

Both the tablets are available in Dazzling White and Titanium Bronze color options and will go on sale from the second week of July. The company is also planning to bring the LTE versions of the device to India in future.
