Samsung Galaxy S Advance, Champ, Galaxy S Aviator Revealed

Samsung Galaxy S AdvanceBARCELONA, Spain – Samsung is on the move for the forthcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month. The ace in the sleeve of the company seems to be its new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered smartphone, rumored to be announced there. For the moment it is certain that this won’t be the awaited Galaxy S III, as it should be announced later in the first half of the year.

The Galaxy line of phones, however, got an addition recently with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered Galaxy S Advance – mid ranged between Galaxy S and II. The phone has curved design with 4-inch AMOLED display (480 x 800 pixels), dual-core 1GHz processor, 5 MP camera, HSPA 14.4mbps support, 768MB of RAM and up to 16GB of storage. The Galaxy S Advance will launch in Russia and the rest of the world will follow.

Budget smartphones from Samsung also had an addition with the release of Champ Deluxe and Champ Deluxe DUOS in Germany and India. The phones feature EDGE, 2.8-inch QVGA display, 1.3MP camera, TouchWiz Lite 2.0 UI, Bluetooth 3.0, music player, FM Radio, ChatON, microSD card slot and 1000mAh battery. They run on Samsung’s proprietary operating system.

On the 4G segment Samsung also had a breakthrough with its Android-powered Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy S Aviator smartphone introduced for the newly available 4G LTE network of USA carrier U.S. Cellular in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin, Maine, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma. For most of the areas this will be the first 4G network available.
