GLOBAL – The Samsung Galaxy Camera, an Android-based point-and-shoot camera, and the Galaxy Stellar smartphone for Verizon have been officially announced.
The Samsung Galaxy Stellar is an entry-level Android 4.0 ICS-powered smartphone with 4G LTE. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen and packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The phone has a 3.2MP main camera and 1.3MP front camera. The Galaxy Stellar also features Wi-Fi connectivity and a microSD slot, for expanding memory to up to 32 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Camera, a competitor to the Nikon Coolpix S800c, integrates some of the smartphone capabilities to provide the users with fast capture, quick edit and instant share options. It is equipped with an21x optical zoom lens and a 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI CMOS sensor. It is powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has a 4.77-inch HD Super Clear Touch Display with a quad-core processor.
The camera allows connectivity through Wi-Fi and 3G/4G LTE. It provides access to social networks, Google Play and Samsung Apps stores, along with on-board smart apps that aid in editing photos and videos swiftly.
