Rogers Smartphone Update Roadmap Leaked
TORONTO, Canada – An internal Rogers Communications roadmap with details right up to February has recently been leaked and it brings several interesting revelations along with it.
First and foremost is the hardware aspect: the roadmap leak confirms Rogers adding the BlackBerry 9780, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Samsung Focus and the Dell Streak smartphones to its inventory.
Next up come the data sharing plans. What this plan means is that customers can chose a monthly plan and share that amount of internet data across USB sticks, smartphones and tablet computers.
The planned devices also have a tentative price point attached to them. The Blackberry Bold 9780 has been listed at CA$149.99 while the Nokia N8 is at a mere CA$79.9. The Samsung Focus is priced at CA$199.99 on contract while the Dell Streak is at CA$149.99.
A very exciting tid-bit for the network operator’s customers is that the Galaxy Tab is also coming to Rogers. Leaked pricing indicates that it might launch at CA$299 on a two-year contract while a three-year binding might bring down that price to CA$199.
All leaks should be considered as tentative until final plans are announced by the carrier.
