RIM to Launch 10″ Blackberry Playbook, OS7 Delayed

BlackBerry Playbook2 10 inchWATERLOO, Canada – RIM is soon going the Apple and Samsung way and launch a 10-inch BlackBerry Playbook tablet, most probably called the Playbook 2.

The Blackberry Conference is almost drawing to a close, and there is some unannounced news comping our way. It is being said by many that the next generation Blackberry Playbook will soon be making its place in the Blackberry line-up. The decision can be said to be valid, as many tablet manufacturers have both 7-inch and 10-inch tablets as a part of their portfolios, so RIM would not shy away from this prospectus.

The Playbook has received quite an encouraging response, and so has its QNX OS, so a 10 inch Playbook with an update QNX OS will be a great deal from RIM. Blackberry does not follow the current of industry trends, so a dual-core processor is not very likely, but not impossible even. Blackberry OS7 smartphones have also been delayed till a further date, disappointing for users who were looking forward to the launch of the Blackberry 9900 and 9930 Bold, which now will not launch until mid-August, previously due for release in July.
