Samsung Galaxy Tab T-MobileBELLEVUE, USA – The Samsung stall at the IFA consumer electronics trade fair, Berlin, created quite a buzz and introduced a challenger to the Apple iPad., the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

At the first look, it talks serious business. The handheld created a flutter, and people are in anticipation for the price bracket this multimedia monster would belong to.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab, featured on a recent advertisement of T-Mobile, was priced US$399 after a US$50 mail-in rebate, in a two-year contract. The contract-free Tab would be available at $649.99.

The market is being flooded with competition with many computer giants launching their own tablet devices, with Dell, Blackberry and HP soon making the foray into the scene, consumers will be more than willing to buy the contract-free device, rather than being blocked with a device for 18-24 months, although the price is not very inviting.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab boasts of impressive features, including the Google Android 2.2 Froyo software, a 4000mAh battery, front and rear-facing camera, Wi-Fi, 7″ screen and a powerful 1GHz processor. The package is full of goodies, and with Samsung confirming the availability of the device on all major network providers (USA), the tablet market is heating up for sure with competitive pricing.
