GLOBAL – A new gaming controller by PlayJoy is designed to provide better control with smartphone games. The device is called PhoneJoy Play and it features an adjustable gamepad that accommodates different types of smartphones.
The PhoneJoy Play controller can be pulled apart on both sides and the smartphone fits comfortably in the middle. The controller supports Android as well as iOS based smartphones. Moreover, it can also be used as a controller for PC games. The retractable gamepad not only supports small sized touchscreen phones, but also big screen devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
The controller comes with 14 programmable physical buttons and 2 precision analog sticks. The PhoneJoy Play has a rechargeable battery that offers up to 20 hours of continuous play time. Bluetooth is supported for a range of 30 feet. As of now, this controller supports about 300 iOS based games and most of the Android games.
At the time of publication there are still 17 days for the Kickstarter project to close, with the PlayJoy left with just under $7000 to complete funding.
