LOS ANGELES, USA – The recent OUYA Android gaming console update is perfectly timed in tune with the holiday season, especially for those loyal enough to have committed $699 or more.
The development consoles are expected to ship by December 28th, to arrive at the proverbial doorsteps just in time for a bit of festive cheer for developers.
This console is significant as it will allow developers to access the OUYA’s optimized Android 4.1 Jelly Bean build. This update has been designed with the sole utility purpose of gaming on the big screen in mind. Although the OUYA Development Kit continues to be in experimental stages, it will most probably be available to the public through a web portal.
The customization of Jelly Bean for OUYA was necessary for designers to enhance the functionality and user-friendliness of the user interface. The UI, in turn, will offer a better solution in terms of searching for and discovering new games.
