Oppo R3 Dubbed the Slimmest LTE Smartphone
DONGGUAN, China – Oppo has announced a new Android Smartphone – the Oppo R3 – which it dubs as world’s slimmest LTE smartphone, measuring 6.3mm at its width and weighing only 140g.
It has been only about a fortnight when the company released two Android phones – the Oppo N1 Mini and Oppo Find 7 Mini (R6007).
Coming back to R3, the handset is not a high-end device, although it still fares to shine with the specsheet. The Oppo R3 will feature a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor under a 5-inch IPS HD display. The device will be armed with two cameras with a front one to be a 5MP and the rear one to be a 8MP unit. For the memory options, it will come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage space onboard that could be expanded.
At the present, the phone is set to go on sale in China for about USD 368 (2,290 CNY) this very month. The company has not revealed anything regarding its plan for variation of the Oppo R3 or if it will be shipped to other markets.
