Nokia X7 review hands-onJOHANNESBURG, South Africa – The Nokia X7 is a multimedia-oriented smartphone with the latest version of Symbian and possibly the best design in the market.

The handset was featured in the Transformers 3 movie, and judging by the looks, it is more than suitable for such a high-tech alien genre movie. Trailers for the same movie and even a trivia app are pre-loaded on the Nokia X7.

The device comes as the only 4” touchscreen-equipped Nokia of its kind (the E7 has a hardware keyboard) and is an alternative to the camera-focused Nokia N8.

Nokia X7 perspectives

Like many other Symbian smartphones, customers will notice that for a high-end phone it is strange to have a processor with clockspeed less than 700MHz that this one does, even though the performance gap may be unnoticeable.

Besides the 4” AMOLED display, the Nokia X7 also features a fixed-focus 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, stereo speakers (not four although it may seem like it), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with Nokia Maps for offline navigation, microSD memory card support and a 3.5mm audio jack.
