NEW YORK, USA – A video demo depicting the performance of the PureView OIS camera of the new Nokia Lumia 920 was released this week.
While the use of Windows Phone 8 is one highlight of the Lumia 920, currently its PureView technology is the main feature that has captured public attention. In certain aspects, it is said to be even better than the Nokia 808 PureView.
The video was shot at the Carl Zeiss booth at Photokina, which revealed the effectiveness of the camera under low-light conditions, thanks to its f/2.0 aperture. It also included a side-by-side clip comparison of the Lumia 920 and another smartphone from a US manufacturer.
Meanwhile, enhanced stabilization features of the new PureView with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera are just as impressive. In the video, a Nokia representative shoots video while his hand is shaking exaggeratedly. The captured video is surprisingly stable, making the new Nokia Lumia 920 will certainly be a boon for users looking to shoot serious videos, or those who just have shaky hands.
