ESPOO, Finland – Nokia has leaked the upcoming Lumia 505, and completed the sale of is headquarters.
Mexican carrier Guerrero Movil updated its Facebook page with the launch of Nokia Lumia 505. This handset will run on Windows 7.8 platform. Other features expected here include an 8 MP camera, an 800 MHz processor, 256 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory and 3.5 or 4-inch display screen. Network operator Telcel, from the same country, also confirmed the device by publishing it in its holiday catalogue.
The 517 thousand square feet Finnish headquarters, popularly known as Nokia House, was reportedly sold for a price of $222 million. The recent smartphone sales’ debacle has forced Nokia to sell its headquarters and generate cash for upcoming investments. Nokia, however, announced that it would stay in the same building for lease.
Also in Nokia-related news, quite commonly one comes across YouTube videos testing the strength of a Nokia handset by subjecting it to some sort of a rough treatment. Many Nokia devices have passed the tests with flying colors. However, a recent video tested Nokia Lumia 920 against an AK-47 rifle and plastic explosives (below). Alas, the Lumia 920 didn’t make it through this time.
