Nokia Fuels Cseries-at-CeBIT Rumour
HANNOVER, Germany – Ahead of tomorrow’s opening day at CeBIT, Nokia’s corporate blog Conversations has hinted at the unveiling of the first Cseries smartphone.
In its newsletter, Nokia Conversations had a sidebar story with the title “C you at CeBIT”. Of course, one may associate it to an occasional mistake, although the entire story was plagued with the letter ‘C’, even CeBIT at a moment was spelled as “C BIT”.
The Nokia Cseries line is not an unknown one to us, several handsets pertaining to this line have been leaked, and even approved by US regulator FCC. The rumour of this new line began with Nokia patenting Cseries in Finland.
Currently, information and images of the Nokia C5 and C6 are widely available. The C5 is a candybar-shaped handset, which seems to be an entry-level S60 smartphone. The phone features a 2.2″ display, a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSPA connectivity, A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Nokia C6 is a wider, candybar-shaped device with a full keyboard on its front, similar to most BlackBerry smartphones. It offers a 5 megapixel camera, and seems to run on S60 as well.
CeBIT will begin tomorrow in Hannover, Germany, and end on the 6th of March. PhoneReport will report on the latest launches, with support from our partner networks.
