New PlayBook OS 2.0 Released by Blackberry

Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0WATERLOO, Canada – Mobile device manufacturer BlackBerry has recently announced the release of its latest PlayBook OS 2.0, which is now available for download and provide a wide range of new features and facilities for BlackBerry PlayBook owners.

In a statement the SVP for Mobile Computing at Research In Motion (RIM), David J Smith advised “Building on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablets proven web browsing, multimedia and multitasking strengths, the new BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 introduces a range of new communications and productivity enhancements as well as expanded app and content support.”

The new OS 2.0 update for the BlackBerry PlayBook come with a wide range of new features and tools that include a unified inbox and an integrated mail client that allows user view work and personal mails as well as updates from social networks like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.

Also included is an updated version of the BlackBerry Bridge app that allows users to view core app from a BlackBerry smartphone on the larger PlayBook display using Bluetooth technology. Users are also able to turn their handset into a wireless keyboard and mouse that can be used on the PlayBook

New enhanced mobile productivity features will also be available on OS 2.0 that has been designed to make creating and editing documents on the move a quicker and easier process.

Thousands of new apps will also become available to users once they have installed the updated OS thanks to its various enhanced capabilities.
