New Nokia X7, E6 Bring Symbian Anna Upgrade

Nokia X7 Symbian AnnaESPOO, Finland – Nokia, the largest cellphone manufacturer in the world, announced two new smartphones, the Nokia X7 and Nokia E6, and further details about its restructuring plans for Symbian.

Starting off , we have the Nokia X7, a music centric device that comes with powerful neodymium speakers which produce phenomenal stereo output. The Nokia X7 has a large 4″ AMOLED display. Its body is made of aluminum and the entire front is covered by Gorilla Glass. The internal specifications remain the same as the Nokia N8 and the Nokia E7.

Nokia also announced the E72’s successor, the Nokia E6, a smartphone that has a 2.4″ screen with a class leading VGA resolution that gives it a phenomenal 326 DPI. The E6 comes with a removable 1500mAh battery and 8GB of inbuilt memory.

The final announcement was regarding renaming and upgrades to the Symbian^3 operating system. Now called Symbian Anna, the operating system comes with brand new icons, and new text entry system that allows for a portrait QWERTY keyboard. An improved internet browser also increases rendering performance by 30%.

The Symbian Anna update will roll out to all Symbian^3 devices over the next quarter.
