Users can perform actions by saying “Ok Google” on the home screen or Google Now. This will help users launch a voice search, play a song, get directions and even send a text. Making the music as well as movie controls easier, users can operate or change the music on the full-screen album that appears even on the locked screen.

The new “immersive mode” of the KitKat user interface comes in very handy, enabling any of the currently used apps to take the center stage on the screen by hiding the other UI elements. With a flick on the edge of the screen, users can go to the status bar and navigation buttons.

The new phone app prioritizes contacts and lists them according to the most used ones. It has an even smarter caller ID, which displays contact information that are not in the phone-book, by looking in the local business groups on Google Maps.

The Android KitKat 4.4 release improves on its printing option as well. This means that users can print any photos or documents from their phone or tablet once they connect them to Google Cloud Print or HP ePrint printers. Moreover the new Quickoffice helps users make spreadsheets, documents and presentations at a very reduced effort, freeing them from Microsoft Office or Google Drive dependency.
