T-Mobile myTouch 4G imageBELLEVUE, USA – The newest smartphone in the Android line-up is the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G, also known as the MyTouch HD. This will be the all-new addition to the MyTouch family.

Android smartphones have heated up the competition in the smartphone market to a great extent, which has helped the software to make a strong base for itself, which can be seen with the number of handset makers expanding their portfolio with Android models.

A new leaked video showed-off the MyTouch 4G, and well, the features are indeed impressive, and at par with the competition in the market. To begin, the MyTouch HD lives up to its name by supporting HD recording via the in-built camera. The handset will be supporting assisted GPS, and with the presence of a front-facing camera, video calling is just another feature integrated in the handset. This is one area where MyTouch HD will score over the T-Mobile G2.

The device will be the second handset in T-Mobile’s portfolio to support HSPA+ connectivity, providing up to 14.4mbps in download speed.

The in-thing of the season  with most manufactures in the technological market is supporting streaming of media files via other electronic devices. The MyTouch 4G will be providing streaming of videos from the phone to a compatible TV in HD. The inclusion of the G button, or the Genius button, replaces the search key from the HTC Models, and aids in voice command and customisation of shortcuts in the phone.

The handset will be powered by a 1Ghz Snapdragon QSD8255 processor, Google Android 2.2 Froyo, a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.8″ display, an 8GB microSD memory card, to name a few features.

T-Mobile is racing ahead with choices that spoil the consumer, and now having the G2 and MyTouch 4G in its line-up, it can be a profitable season for the network giant.
