MWC: Acer Reveals Android-powered Liquid Glow and CloudMobile
NEW TAIPEI, Taiwan – Acer has disclosed two new smartphones, Acer Liquid Glow and Acer CloudMobile. Both the Android powered phones will be displayed at MWC 2012.
The Liquid Glow runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and sports a 3.7inch screen. The phone is equipped with 5MP camera with LED flash, also supporting panoramic image capture and touch capture.
This device also allows users to share music, photos, contacts, apps and videos to any other NFC-powered Android phone. Features also include the latest voice-input tool from Google. The phone will come in three colors: Sakura Pink, Alpine White and Cat’s-eye Black. The Liquid Glow is expected to be out during Q2.
Concurrently, the second phone to be exhibited by Acer at MWC is the Acer CloudMobile. The phone also won iF design award 2012. The CloudMobile is loaded with 1.5GHz dual-core processor and is said to run on Ice Cream Sandwich, although some of the rumors suggest that the phone might actually operate on Android 4.1.
The phone has 4.3 inch HD touchscreen display and also supports NFC. Is is expected that the phone will feature Acer’s Cloud technology heavily. The CloudMobile is anticipated to be released in Q3.
