LG Optimus Zone 2, Extravert 2 Head to Verizon

BASKING RIDGE, USA – LG has added two new smartphones to Verizon Wireless’ network, giving them the name of LG Optimus Zone 2 and LG Extravert 2.

Neither of the two support 4G LTE connectivity, but are compatible with Verizon’s 3G network.

The LG Optimus Zone 2 is an entry-level smartphone running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It sports a 3.5-inch screen with 480×320 pixels in resolution, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, a 3MP camera, connectivity options that includes GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, and a 1700mAh of battery capacity. The device hosts LG apps such as Guest Mode and QuickMemo. The actual retail price of the LG Optimus Zone 2 is $200, but Verizon offers it at just $50.

The LG Extravert 2 comes with a sideway slider, along with a front touchscreen panel and a QWERTY keyboard beneath it. It offers a smaller 3.2-inch display and LG’s touch-based UI for feature phones. It has a 2MP camera with video capture and offers media apps, Bluetooth 3.0, Verizon content and the Opera Mini web browser. The LG Extravert costs $200 without contract, $8.33 per month with Verizon Edge, or $80 with a two-year agreement.
