SEOUL, South Korea – In response to the Samsung Galaxy Note II, LG is planning to introduce an upgrade to its Optimus Vu. unsurprisingly named LG Optimus Vu II, which retains several characteristics of its predecessor, such as stylus input and a 5-inch display.
The new LG device willbe powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and accompanied by 2GB of RAM. It will run on Android 4.0 ICS, carry a 2150mAh battery, support NFC and LTE, and include an 8MP camera.
Rumors suggest that Google has elected a new HTC 5-inch phablet, currently known as One X 5 or Droid Incredible X, as its new Nexus device. It will include Android 4.1.2, keeping with the tradition of Google to launch new Android versions with its product announcements. Reports say that the device will include a 1080p full HD display, a 12MP main camera and a 2MP front camera. It will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 chipset and have a 2500mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Pantech unveiled its latest quad-core smartphone, the Vega R3. Along with a 5.3-inch Natural IPS display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, the R3 also includes a large 2600mAh battery. It comes with new features such as Best Face and Mini Window to rival its competitors.
