WATERLOO, Canada – We have already published information on the features of BlackBerry 10 L and N series previously. Now a roadmap has been leaked, and it reveals new BlackBerry 10 tablets and devices with their respective release quarters.
With what is apparent from the leaked map, the first device to be released will be 4G LTE PlayBook, although this will actually be sometime during Q4 2012. Additionally, PlayBook’s running on OS 2.0 will also get an upgrade to OS 10 yet this is set to be in Q1/Q2 2013.
Next in line will be BlackBerry 10 London and BlackBerry 10 Nevada. The phones will be released in Q1 2013, however, they will first be rolled out to European markets and then to North America. There would be a three to four week gap between the launches, as for the reason that Europe have always been a better receptive to RIM’s devices.
Other BlackBerry 10 devices to follow are codenamed Nashville and Naples. These are thought to be variants of QWERTY N-series owing to their codenames that start from letter ‘N’. Nashville will be released in Q2/Q3 of 2013, while Naples will hit the markets in Q3/Q4 2013.
Lastly, there is a device codenamed Blackforest with number 128 written beside it. According to rumours, this is a 10-inch BlackBerry tablet, as said earlier, with storage capacity of 128GB. Blackforest will be introduced in Q3 2013.
