SAN ANTONIO, US – With the proceedings of the trial between Apple and Samsung, it is becoming more and more obvious that the patience of the judge is getting thin. This time the Apple’s attorneys were criticized owing to a 75-page briefing in which Apple is planning to call 22 more witnesses if needed.
Judge Koh in the absence of the jury addressed Apple’s attorneys with the words “unless you’re smoking crack you know these witnesses aren’t going to be called”. Apple’s leading attorney was clear to answer that this is not the case and that the company still has enough processing time for more witnesses. At the end of the day, Apple agreed to reduce the volume of the briefing. while Judge Koh still billed the time of the discussion to the companies.
This is not the first time that the judge is furious with Apple, as in the past it tried to convince the court to accept one of its witnesses on a Monday owing to family matters. Judge Koh ruled that the witness may be heard only the next.
