T-Mobile iPhone 4SBELLEVUE, USA – A research note from Jeffries & Co. analyst Peter Misek claims that Apple will be releasing a T-Mobile version of its smartphone, called iPhone 4S, later this year.

The device will not be a major update to the iPhone 4 instead opting for a spec bump. The new iPhone is supposed to come with better cameras and minor cosmetic changes.

The new A5 processor from the iPad 2 will also make a showing in the phone. The phone is expected to support the HSPA+ network. LTE has long been rumoured for the device but will be omitted from the phone as Apple is not satisfied with the performance of the chip.

Rumours suggest that the iPhone will be using a larger 3.7″ screen while using the same resolution to maintain application compatibility. It is commonly believed that the next iPhone will be a world phone incorporating both GSM and CDMA connections in one device. This would allow the phone to run either on GSM networks or CDMA operators depending on user choice and availability.
