HTC Flyer Puccini 10 inch Android tabletTAOYUAN, Taiwan – HTC has recently launched its 7″ HTC Flyer tablet but it looks like that things could get heated up as the manufacturer is also looking at competing in the 10″ tablet segment with the HTC Puccini.

The HTC Puccini, as it is believed to be named, is powered by a dual-core 1.5 Ghz processor. This processor could be the powerful Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset. The Flyer itself hasn’t even launched, but readers may choose to purchase other Android tablets.

The tablet once again runs the HTC Sense UI shell on top of Android 3.0 Honeycomb. It also packs in an LTE chipset for its AT&T debut. The screen resolution on the Pucinni is the same as major Honeycomb tablets to ensure application compatibility across manufacturers.

An interesting detail can be spotted in the corner of the screen shot. This is the notes application bundled in with the Flyer. It hints that the tablet might be compatible with the Magic Pen accessory sold alongside with the HTC Flyer which enables pen input on top  of a capacitive screen.
