HTC Merge Launches as First Global CDMA Android Smartphone

HTC Merge CDMA phoneGLOBAL – Smartphone giant HTC has come up with its latest release, the HTC Merge. It is the world’s first CDMA Android smartphone.

Apart from the regular HTC features it comprises of a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard and is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo.

It includes the HTC Sense experience along with a 3.8″ touchscreen display. It lets users capture great images and HD videos with its 5 megapixel camera which includes auto-focus and flash, and users can also shoot high definition 720p video.

It helps users share images and videos with quick and easy access to Flickr, YouTube, and other social networking websites. If users are still looking for more reasons to buy this phone, then one may consider the fact that this phone has 3G connectivity, integrated GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It also comes pre-installed with the Android Market, which lets users choose from over 100 000 applications. This phone is slated to be made available to the multiple North American carriers from the beginning of Spring 2011. Looking at the previous HTC models, this one too sure doesn’t look to disappoint the audience.
