HTC First Released, Facebook Home Now Available Worldwide

MENLO PARK, USA – Facebook has made its Home Android launcher available for international users, while AT&T has released the HTC First, in partnership with the social network.

Taiwan-based smartphone-maker HTC’s First is a mid-end smartphone with a 4.3-inch display screen offering visuals at HD resolution. This handset has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS loaded in it with a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor to speed up functions. Other key features of this device include 1 GB RAM, a 5 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and BSI sensor, and 16 GB internal storage. This smartphone also supports multiple connectivity features, such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ and LTE, as well as GPS and GLONASS.

HTC First Facebook AT&T Android

The HTC First, like the name indicates, is the first smartphone to feature the Facebook Home, an Android launcher aimed at transforming a smartphone into a great social networking device. Facebook Home brings social networking experience to a smartphone’s home screen. Through this new software, Facebook users can get updated feeds and notifications right in their home screen.

Facebook Home is available on the HTC First, HTC OneHTC One XHTC One X+Samsung Galaxy S IIISamsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy Note II.

The HTC First and the Facebook Home aims to provide social networking experience without the trouble of accessing it through a separate app.
