Black HTC Desire Heading to Orange
BRISTOL, UK – The HTC Desire is a Google Android-based smartphone which was announced earlier this year. Powered by the famous Snapdragon 1GHz processor, and runs on Android 2.1 operating system.
The device is equivalent to the Google ‘superphone’ Nexus One, and in terms of specifications, it has a high-resolution Wide-VGA OLED display which gives it a great on-screen image quality.
The phone has received rave reviews from all major tech sites and has been called as one of the best devices ever from the Android camp. While it remains the same internally, the outer shell gains a new paint job. The device in black certainly looks the part. Pricing details are not yet available but are expected to be competitive on contract.
The Desire will be made available in South Africa in its original colour, from the 7th of May.
HTC Corporation is a Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer. It is said to have been single-handedly responsible for the proliferation of Android devices due to the vast multitude of Android devices manufactured by the company at various price points.
