TOKYO, Japan – HTC announced the future release of the HTC J Butterfly smartphone with a 5-inch SLCD3 1080p (full HD) 440ppi display.
The specifications of the device pack quite a punch, as it will be powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and equipped with a Qualcomm S4 Pro 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera, NFC, and a 2,020mAh battery. The device will be only 9.1mm thin and will be available in black, red and white color variations.
The HTC J Butterfly is designed as larger and more powerful addition to the HTC J model that was released several months ago by the company.
Unfortunately the device will be available only in Japan for starters, as it will be released for the carrier AU/KDDI in December. However, HTC announced that other devices holding similar technology, especially similar screen size and capabilities, are also on the way to be announced in close future.
