NEW YORK, United States – In a recent technology breakthrough, a group of scientists was able to develop a mobile charger that can disinfect germs from a mobile phone and make it hygienic.
According to recent studies, mobile phones have eighteen times more dangerous germs than the doorknob on an average person’s room. The germs found include flu, E. Coli, Staphylococcus, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and even fecal matter.
The newly developed charger, called PhoneSoap, is a tiny carton that concurrently energizes and decontaminates the mobile phone applying Ultraviolet C (UV-C) light. The Ultraviolet C light is a electro-magnetic transmission and is applied in clinics to disinfects places worldwide. Using this technology for several minutes is safe for the phone, but it destroys more than 99% of the germs on it.
The PhoneSoap project is available on Kickstarter with its target funding of $18,000 already surpassed more than 2 times and it continues to gain popularity.
