CES: LG Fireweb is the Company’s First Firefox OS Phone
LAS VEGAS, USA – Last year in October, LG launched its first-ever Firefox OS handset, LG Fireweb, and it displayed it at the Consumer Electronics Show last week.
The smartphone was demonstrated at the CES along with other devices that run the Firefox OS. Its hardware specifications suggest that the device is parked somewhere in the mid-range smartphone segment.
Its back is made of mostly plastic with a pinch of glossy material. It holds a 4” display with 480×320 resolution, a 1GHz processor and some HTML5-based apps.
At the top users get a headphone jack and a power button, at the left a volume rocker, and a micro-USB at the bottom.
The LG Fireweb is currently available in Brazil for $207. There is no information on whether the market could be extended to any other part of the world.
