Dropbox image upload 5GBSAN FRANCISCO, USADropbox has announced the release of new camera upload feature in beta version, and is offering up to 5GB extra for free for Android users to upload photos.

This feature will allow users to upload photos and videos automatically in the background using Wi-Fi and data plans. On the upload of the first picture, it will grant users a free space of 500 MB. The size of the file does not matter, as it allows a maximum of 180MB for a single file.

The beta version also brings special support in time of network issues, and automatically resumes file uploads when problem is resolved. In addition, it is able to fix bugs and various performance instruments have also been improved.

The service is also offering supplementary free space to upload pictures and videos. A user will receive an increased 500MB bonus space for every 500MB of file uploaded automatically. However, it must be noted that this space is connected to the same 5GB space that desktop clients receive for uploading file.
