Droid X2 Droid 3BASKING RIDGE, USA – The Droid 2 and Droid X are two of the most popular Verizon smartphones. The Android powered devices are coming up on their one year anniversaries this summer so their successors are most likely in the works if not close to completion.

It is believed that the Droid 3 and Droid X2 have been spotted. A phone, code named Targa, has been pictured with a very similar body type to the original Droid X. The phone is very slender and thin throughout its body but has the camera bulge at the top for the camera. However, the front of the phone has a silver metal border that looks more like the Droid 2. The phone has a LTE 4G logo branded on the back which is an excellent sign.

The specs of the Droid X2 and Droid 3 are still unknown but it is likely that the phones will feature similar designs to the Droid X and Droid 2/Droid respectively, but with the latest hardware and software upgrades.

The phones have no official launch date or prices but should be available late this summer on the Verizon network.
