Star Wars The Phantom Menance 3D Darth Maul Me Android AppGLOBAL – A new app for Android smartphones called Darth Maul Me has recently been released by Lucasfilm as it begins promoting the re-release of the popular Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace but this time in 3D.

This new app will allow users to alter pictures of their faces to look the Sith lord Darth Maul from the Phantom Menace using the controls on the screen to choose the level of alteration. User can choose to have Darth Maul’s evil eyes, tattoos or entire face overlaid on their picture simply by lining the effects with their picture.

The quality of the results depends entirely on the smartphone the app is installed on and with some handset the output may not be that impressive. Users that have front facing cameras on their phones will be able to use them for this new app as well as the rear camera.

The current version of the app does appear to have a few bugs in it, like taking pictures using the front facing camera on the Galaxy Nexus coming out upside down although this can be rectified during the image creation process.
