Blackberry 8530 CurveWATERLOO, Canada – Research in Motion has been working hard on its market placement lately, as there is at least one rumor of a new Blackberry device every week. From a perspective, more devices on the market means more choices for consumers, which gives people a better chance finding the exact device they are looking for. The newest codename in the Blackberry rumor mill is ‘Aries’, what will probably be confirmed as the Blackberry Curve 8530.

The Aries is basically the same phone as the recently 8520, which was originally known as ‘Gemini’. The 8520 was released exclusively for the T-Mobile network. The 8530 is expanding the success of its sister device by adding CDMA, which would allow for it to be released for other networks, such as Verizon Wireless and Sprint.

The Curve 8520 was the first Blackberry model to be released featuring the new optical trackpad. RIM seems to be pleased with the success of the 8520 model and its replacement for the typical trackball, and wishes to expand upon it by adding to its availability. This is also further evidence that the smartphone manufacturer is completely getting rid of the navigational trackball for the new format, as there also a few other rumored models sporting the new feature. It is probably be a safe bet to expect the new 8530 Curve to be released for this holiday season.
