BlackBerry Z3 Launches in South Africa
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – BlackBerry has recently launched its new smartphone, the BlackBerry Z3, in SA where the device is set to be made available from mid-July.
The BlackBerry Z3 runs its revamped 10.2.1 OS and will available from Vodacom for a retail price of R2 999 via a Smart S plan at R249 per month. According to BlackBerry MD for Africa, Yudi Moodely, other carriers like Cell C and MTN will come up with their own deals.
The BlackBerry Z3 hosts a 5-inch touchscreen and comes with a smart type functionality where the handset learns user typing patterns for predictive-text purposes. Other key features for the handset includes the famous BBM for social networking and video chatting, BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Keyboard, Instant Previews and Reply Now options, and accessibility to the Android apps via the Android App Store.
The BlackBerry Z3 comes with a battery capacity of 2500mAh. The device was unveiled back in February and has been able to capture a good marketshare in Indonesia.
