BlackBerry Z3 Releases in India
NEW DELHI, India – Following the launch of the BlackBerry Z3 in Indonesia earlier in May, the company now plans to release the phone in India this week.
The device was initially announced at MWC 2014 held in February. The BlackBerry Z3 has a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display which runs BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS. Inside it packs a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8230 Snapdragon 400 SoC and 1.5GB of RAM. There are two camera units – 5MP on back and 1.1MP on front. Together with miscroSD slot for memory expansion the phone has 8GB storage space onboard.
The CEO of BlackBerry Limited, John Chen, asserted that the company plans to roll out the budget phone to Indian market from 25th of June. The Indian market is popular with low-cost smartphones, thanks to the stable economic conditions of the country. However, BlackBerry has also indicated that the Z3 will be destined to other markets this very year if not soon enough.
