WATERLOO , Canada – Following the introduction of BlackBerry 10, Research in Motion (RIM) leaked two new series of phones - BlackBerry 10 L and N.
The BlackBerry 10 L-Series will be equipped only with touch screen controls and will be carry a 768×1280 HD screen resolution on an OLED display. This resolution will beat the current leader on the market – the iPhone 4S.
The BlackBerry 10 N-Series will be closer to the current line of phones made by RIM, as it will have a QWERTY keyboard and a 720×720 OLED touchscreen.
Both series of future phones will be optimized for their respective hardware and user interface and will have complete comparability with each other. RIM is also working on ways to improve battery life using some of the unique properties of the OLED screens.
The BlackBerry 10 L-Series was expected for a September release, while the N-Series was planned for the beginning of 2013, but it seems that both will move to 2013 following RIM’s disastrous financial results.
