BlackBerry 10 Alpha B Device Showcased, Release Closing in

BlackBery 10 Dev Alpha BWATERLOO, Canada – BlackBerry maker┬áResearch in Motion showcased BlackBerry 10, the software for its revamped range of BlackBerry 10 devices that can compete with the growing market of iPhones and the Android devices.

On Tuesday, RIM revealed that the number of BlackBerry subscribers have risen from 78 million to 80 million. Parallel to this, several interesting features of the new BlackBerry 10 operating system were also unveiled.

BB10 includes a new feature called Flow, allowing faster cycling between open apps. Its new browser has also been upgraded to offer smooth navigation, enhanced performance, better security and easy information sharing.

BlackBerry Hub integrates all your notifications in one place for easy reference. RIM is also working on a new BlackBerry App World which will allow BB users with access to a variety of content including apps, music and videos using a single BlackBerry ID.

Following the exceptional popularity of BlackBerry’s Dev Alpha handset, RIM has now come up with a new developer batch called the Dev Alpha B. It has a 1280×768 HD display with good viewing angles and color saturation, just like its predecessor, but its body is all plastic, with some striking differences like non-uniform seams and a shallower power button. Nevertheless, it offers the same level of smooth performance as the first Dev Alpha.
